Experience the Difference
The program of the Cambridge English Academy is unique and unlike any offered by other English courses. We strive to seamlessly integrate formal classroom instruction with enjoyable social engagements, as well as offer students opportunities to experience everyday American culture.
Unlike Other English Programs, Cambridge English Academy Offers:
The Curriculum
The Academy Curriculum is based on the accredited Cambridge University Press English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching method, with emphasis on practical language skills in everyday living and working situations.
Prior to the program, students receive a diagnostic assessment to ensure placement at the proper level of instruction. The Curriculum consists of a morning session, which focuses on general grammar and vocabulary. The afternoon session focuses on pronunciation and conversational English.
Business English and Academic English are two electives offered especially for business professionals or those planning to teach English in their home country.
Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for six hours of instructional and computer lab time. Classes meet Wednesday mornings only with afternoons devoted to program field trips.
